
Schenley Park
Schenley Park is situated in the center of Oakland in Pittsburgh. The large municipal park is also referred to as a National Historic District, which is frequented by businessmen and women, university students and outdoor enthusiasts.
The park was created in 1889 and is spread over 456 acres of land filled with attractions, trails and woods.

There are popular trails for cyclists giving you the opportunity to participate in bike trails; you can also take a stroll in the park; and the kids can enjoy themselves playing at the several playgrounds located in the park. If you have your dog with you, know that you can take your dog for a walk in the park; the canine is welcome as long as it is on the leash.
Schenley Park also provides opportunities for sports and recreation. There are the Bob O'Connor Golf Course and Disc Golf Course for the avid golfers visiting the park.
There is also a swimming pool providing scope for water aerobics, swimming lessons, and courses designed to help in water awareness for young children. The Junction Hollow Fields flaunts many soccer fields and also comes with a part of Eliza Furnace trail.
