The Pittsburgh visionary art festival is organized to bring together around 50 local visionary artists and art innovators in a single venue. The 'Three Rivers Art Festival' was formed by a committee of women's of 'Carnegie Museum of Art' in the year 1960. It was a small outdoor art festival but now it has grown to biggest multidisciplinary platform of performing and visual arts in that area.

The 'Three Rivers Art Festival' provides free entertainment to the local citizens and also brings performing and visual art out of the traditional boundary walls. It depends on donations and funds given by generous people, various organizations and charity institutions. The 'Three Rivers Art Festival' is a section of 'The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust', which is sponsored by Dollar Bank' and supported by 'Giant Eagle', 'Port Authority', 'Duquesne Light', 'The Garble Foundation', 'Colcom Foundation', etc.
