If you're preparing for your visit, remember the natural history museum is not open every day. It's better to figure out the best visiting time. Pay a visit during the operation hours to accomodate your schedules.

The Carnegie Museum of Natural History is open from 10 am to 5 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. On Thursday, the museum is available for visitors from 10 am to 8 pm. If you're planning to visit on Sunday, you may have a tight schedule as the museum hour is from noon to 5 pm. The history museum is closed on Monday and it's open only on Mondays between July 4 and Labor Day.

Located at lower level near elevator, Fossil Fuels serves guests daily from 10 am to 4 pm. On Sunday, it is open from noon to 4 pm. Fossil Fuels offers a wide array of family-friendly foods, such as pastries, salads, sandwiches and various beverages.

The Brown Bag Lunchroom and Vending area on lower level next to Fossil Fuels is open during museum hours. It accepts group reservations. The large area has assorted vending machines and a large seating area that can accommodate various guests.
