1) Banff Mountain Film Festival - Venture Outdoors
Kindle your passion for adventure, action and travel! As a program of the Banff Center, the Banff Mountain Film Festival is the largest and one of the most reputable mountain festivals in the world. It will excite and invigorate you with amazing big-screen stories.
There are three performances starting at 7pm on April 8 & 9, at 2pm on April 10, 2011. The regular ticket price is $20.75 for Premium Seating, $16.75 for Orchestra Seating, Mezzanine Seating and Gallery Front Seating and $12.75 for Gallery Rear Seating.
2) Max Raabe & Palast Orchester
As part of Cohen & Grigsby Trust Presents series, this performance features the high style and musical glory of the 20's and 30's. Led by the charismatic baritone Max Raabe, the Berlin-based orchestra is slick and wistful, yet obviously modern through Raabe's skewed humor and sardonic wit.
Come to experience in person! This event starts at 8pm on April 15 at Byham Theater. The specific rates are:
- Orch Front / Mezzanine Seating: $48.25 for children & $53.25 for adults

3) Sherri Lynn's the Bold and the Sanctified
Happening at 8pm on April 16, the hit radio soap opera the Bold and the Sanctified will storm the stage at Byham Theater. The Bold and the Sanctified is a story of love, compromise, betrayal and survival happening in the place of church. This musical drama will cost you $29.5 for Orchestra and Mezzanine Seating and $23.5 for Gallery Seating.
4) One Night of Queen
With fantastic staging and spectacular lighting, the awe-inspiring rock icon Freddie Mercury with the spectacular rock tribute, One Night of Queen will rock you at Byham Theater. This performance will make Queen's mega hits come alive, giving audience an incredible note-for-note experience.
This performance begins at 7:30pm on April 20, 2011. Adult audience will be charged $45.25 for Orch Front / Mezzanine Seating, $38.25 for Orch Rear / Gallery Front and $26.25 for Gallery Rear. For child audience, each admission is $5 cheaper.
5) La Roche College Dance - The Spring Gala
The La Roche artists will give people a wonderful performance through ballet and contemporary works at Byham Theater at 8pm on April 28. The performance will be available with three additional presentations at Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, Slippery Rock University's Dance Department and Fluidity Dance Company. The general admission is $25.75 for adults and $15.75 for children.
6) David Dorfman Dance
New York based David Dorfman Dance will bring you their newest work - Prophets of Funk / Dance to the Music. It celebrates the music of prophetic love, in honor of Sly and the Family Stone, an American rock, funk and soul band from San Francisco.
The David Dorfman Dance starts at 8pm on April 30, 2011. The admission to this performance is divided into four levels, including:
- Price Level A: $45.75 for adults and $40.75 for children
- Price Level B: $36.75 for adults and $31.75 for children
- Price Level C: $25.75 for adults and $20.75 for children
- Price Level D: $19.75 for adults and $14.75 for children

7) Hairspray
Come to enjoy a big fun for the entire family with one of Broadway's newest musical hits! Tracy Turnblad has big hair, a big heart and even a bigger dream that is to dance. When her once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes knocking, what she needs is the help of the cast of crazy characters to really shake things up.
There are 7 performances starting at 7:30pm on May 5, 6, 7, 13 and 14 and at 2pm on May 8 and 15. The specific admission is listed below:
- Gold Circle: $22.75 per child and $44.75 per adult
- Section A: $20.25 per child and $39.75 per adult
- Section B: $12.75 per child and $24.75 per adult
- Section C: $12.25 per child and $12.25 per adult
Please note that on the first day of the performance (May 5), the admission is $39.75 for adults and $20.25 for children for Gold Circle as well as $34.75 for adults and $17.75 for children for Section A.
Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School Spring Performance
This is a performance in full costume featuring over 200 students of Pittsburgh Ballet Theater School's Student and Pre-Professional Divisions. Starting at 7pm on May 27, this performance will cost $26.75 per adult and $22.75 per child.

How to get tickets to these events? There are many ways to order tickets to Byham Theater events. A direct and convenient way is to order on its official website. Operated by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Byham Theater will list their upcoming events on their website (pgharts.org). You just need to find the event list and click your desired event with the "buy" section on it. Other ways include:
1) Purchase Tickets by Phone
To order your ticket by phone, you can call 412-456-6666. Tickets will be charged only by credit card, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Diner's Club. They will be sent to you until 1 week before the event time.
2) Purchase Tickets at the Theater Square Box Office
Visitors can also purchase their tickets in person at the Box Office at Theater Square, located at 655 Penn Avenue, near 7th Street. The acceptable forms of payment at the Box Office include cash, checks with valid ID, money orders, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Diner's Club.
The Box Office is open from 9am to 9pm from Monday to Saturday and from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday. Tickets to Byham Theater events can be available two hours prior to the performance at its respective lobby Box Office.
3) Purchase Tickets by Mail
If you would like to purchase tickets by mail, enclose a check or money order (no cash) made payable to the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Or, enclose a valid credit card number with expiration date. The accepted forms of payment are American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Diner's Club.
