
Benedum Center Address and Directions
Formerly the Stanley Theatre, this 3,800-seat Benedum Center for the Performing Arts is a theater and concert hall in Pittsburgh. It serves as home to the Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Dance Council, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Pittsburgh Symphony and the Pittsburgh Opera, plus first-run Broadway touring productions. A few PBS doo-wop television concert specials were also hosted at this complex.
With a stage comparable to Paris Opera House and the New York Metropolitan Opera in size, Benedum Center is thought to be one of the few theaters in the nation large enough to accommodate full-cast, first-run Broadway shows. It is also one of the most utilized theaters in the United States.

Driving to the center may be one of the most convenient ways to get to the location, as there is a wealth of parking options available throughout the Cultural District. If you decide to drive to the venue, pick up the following directions to the center for the sake of your convenience.
1) From the North
If traveling from the north, you are suggested to take I-279 south to split (just past east Ohio Street exit). Follow signs for Ft. Pitt Bridge and PNC Park. Then get off at Ft. Duquesne Boulevard exit. After that, you should follow the Ft. Duquesne Boulevard to 7th Street. Make a right turn. You will find the center located one block up, on the left at the corner of the 7th Street and Penn Avenue.
2) From the South & West
Whether you are driving from the south or west, you should follow I-279 north to pass the Ft. Pitt Tunnel and cross the Ft. Pitt Bridge. Then take Ft. Duquesne Boulevard exit. Drive on the Ft. Duquesne Boulevard to 7th Street and turn right. The center will be on the left at the corner of Ft. Duquesne Boulevard and 6th Street.
3) From the East (by way of I-376 east)
For visitors coming from the east, you are suggested to head southeast on I-376 E towards Exit 71A. Take exit 71A on the left to merge onto Grant Street. Then, you should drive on the Grant Street and make a left turn to 5th Avenue. Turn right at Wood Street, which will take you to the Benedum Center.
4) From Pittsburgh International Airport
For visitors departing from Pittsburgh International Airport, head south towards Airport Boulevard. Drive straightly onto Airport Boulevard. Then stay left at the fork and follow signs for I-376 E / I-79 E / Pittsburgh / Pennsylvania Turnpike E. Merge onto I-376 E. Take exit 70A to merge onto Liberty Avenue towards Mellon Arena. You will find the Benedum Center on the Liberty Avenue.
